Aristotle's Theory of Tragedy
As Aristotle said, a tragedy needs certain things....
Other things that make a good tragedy:
- A series of unrelated events + a tragic flaw = tragedy
- A series of unrelated events = coincidence
- A tragic flaw = hubris = pride
Other things that make a good tragedy:
- Everything happens in one day
- The main character is basically good
- The main character is upper class
